Fortify Your Identity

AUTH / 2FA

Two-Factor Authentication

Activate Time-based One-Time Passwords (TOTP) through an authenticator app (such as Google Authenticator or 1Password). 2FA stops 99.9% of automated credential stuffing attacks even if your password was compromised elsewhere.

PASS / HYGIENE

Unique Passphrase Security

Never reuse passwords across gaming accounts, email providers, and Discord. We recommend passphrases consisting of at least 16 characters or 4 random words separated by hyphens.

DEFENSE / PHISHING

Recognizing Phishing

Play Buddy Games staff will NEVER ask for your password, 2FA codes, or payment CVV numbers in chat. Official communications only originate from verified @playbuddygames.uk email domains.

One-click communication suppression

If another player behaves inappropriately, clicking their player profile or name in chat allows you to mute their text and voice instantly. Muted players cannot whisper you, invite you to parties, or send trade requests.

Incident Reporting

Direct escalation to Trust & Safety

Our in-game reporting tool automatically captures an encrypted log snapshot containing recent chat messages, proximity audio data, and coordinates. This evidence is delivered straight to our human moderation team.

Streamer & Privacy Mode

Mask server tags, coords & IDs

Streamer mode masks your character name, obscures your in-game GPS coordinates, and anonymizes party member handles to prevent stream-sniping, stalking, or targeted griefing during public broadcasts.

Economy Protection

Safe Trading in Shared Economies

Because Play Buddy Games titles feature deep, persistent economies, bad actors may attempt deceptive trade tricks. Protect your hard-earned assets with our built-in trade safeguards:

Dual-Lock Confirmation Escrow

Both parties must lock in assets and wait through a 5-second countdown timer. If any item or currency is altered, both locks instantly disengage.

Never Trade Outside the Client

Off-platform deals, external Discord transactions, and third-party currency sellers are almost universally fraudulent and will result in sanctions.
